It has been an absolute pleasure to work with some of the best mentors and leaders throughout my career. Their guidance and influence has helped me develop the right attitude and growth mindset. I'm grateful that these mentors had a good experience working with me too.
It is very rare to come across a standout talent like Chai. He came to my team as an intern and was so impressive that we hired him on full time after he finished his degree. Besides his clear grasp of data and technology, what is most impressive about Chai is his business presence when dealing with senior and executive level leaders and his ability to switch over to the technical expert role as needed to work effectively with his team and peers. I managed Chaitanya Date as an intern at Jeppesen during the summer and fall of 2017, and I subsequently coordinated his hiring as a full-time employee in a position as a business analyst at Jeppesen (since renamed as Boeing Digital Solutions) in the spring of 2018. Chaitanya has my full endorsement. As an intern he was professional, enthusiastic, willing to learn and very productive. His intern project involved developing requirements for and implementing an internal IT system to manage R&D projects. The project was executed on a short timeline with high expectations from senior management. Chaitanya learned a new software development environment in the period before his internship officially began, and put in extra hours to ensure that the project was a success. He demonstrated an ability to understand the strategic intent of the project as well as the details needed to implement the requirements in a well-constructed software tool. He left everyone he encountered on that project with an extraordinarily strong positive impression of both his technical and interpersonal skills. The enthusiasm that the entire team showed to bring him on full time is the highest I have seen in my 30-year career.
